Program Coordination
The overall 'BIG' picture! Brad will build an all encompassing conceptual design that includes:
-
Field Layout
-
Prop Design
-
Costumes
-
Flags
-
Musical Selections
-
Conceptual/Thematic Design
Sketches for each costume and prop will be put together in a presentation form for clear interpretation. Field layout and constructed visual moments in the marching band show will be coordinated through Visual Mapping.
Drill
Drill design requires a coordination of elements from proper staging of the winds and percussion, to the logistical planning of auxiliary performers. Much like the design of the musical book, the drill should reflect a sensible educational challenge to the performer, and entertainment to the audience. Every ensemble is unique and has specific needs, so Brad will create a list of criteria to help in determining what type of drill design you desire for your program.
You will also have the Ultimate Drill Book App integration available. For more information about this incredible teaching tool, visit their website at the link below:

Working formations for the 1947 Rose Bowl for the University of Michigan Marching Band. In this picture left to right: George Lotzenhiser, Noah Kneeper (drum major), Harold Ferguson (assistant director), William Revelli (band director), and Don Autore. Formations are worked out with toy soldiers on a miniature football field. Mimeographed copies of the diagrams with an assigned number for each band member are distributed at practice.
